India won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 with a batting line-up that kept posting huge totals, but their bowlers were just as important. Two Indian bowlers finished at the top of the wicket-takers list, and the next three came from Zimbabwe, the USA and England.
Here are the leading wicket-takers of the T20 World Cup 2026.
Jasprit Bumrah (India): 14 wickets
Jasprit Bumrah was again India's spearhead. He took 14 wickets in the tournament, saving his best for the final in Ahmedabad, where his 4/15 helped bowl New Zealand out for 159 and won him the Player of the Match award.
Along the way he passed R Ashwin to become India's leading wicket-taker in T20 World Cup history. He was also named in the ICC Team of the Tournament.
Varun Chakravarthy (India): 14 wickets
Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy matched Bumrah with 14 wickets. His best spell was 3/7 against Namibia in Delhi, and he took two wickets in the 61-run win over Pakistan in Colombo. Bumrah's pace at the death and Varun's spin in the middle overs gave India the most effective attack in the tournament.
Blessing Muzarabani (Zimbabwe): 13 wickets
Zimbabwe's tall fast bowler was one of the stars of their best ever T20 World Cup. His 4/17 helped Zimbabwe beat Australia by 23 runs in Colombo, a result that knocked Australia out and sent Zimbabwe into the Super 8 as Group B winners. He made the ICC Team of the Tournament.
