The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 was the highest-scoring T20 World Cup ever, with seven centuries and five totals of 250 or more. One long-standing record fell: the most runs by a batter in a single edition.
Here are the top run-scorers of the T20 World Cup 2026.
Sahibzada Farhan (Pakistan): 383 runs
Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan was the leading run-scorer with 383 runs. That broke Virat Kohli's record of 319 runs in one T20 World Cup, set in 2014.
Farhan also became the first batter to score two centuries in a single T20 World Cup: 100 not out against Namibia at the SSC in Colombo, and 100 against Sri Lanka in Pallekele. Against Sri Lanka he and Fakhar Zaman added 176, the highest partnership in T20 World Cup history. Pakistan still missed the semi-finals, losing out to New Zealand on net run rate.
Tim Seifert (New Zealand): 326 runs
New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert scored 326 runs and was a big reason the Black Caps reached the final. He made 52 off 26 balls in the final against India and 58 in the semi-final win over South Africa.
Sanju Samson (India): 321 runs
Sanju Samson scored 321 runs in just five innings and was named the Player of the Tournament. He saved his best for the business end: 97 not out off 50 balls against West Indies in the Super 8, 89 in the semi-final against England and 89 off 46 balls in the final, the highest score ever made in a men's T20 World Cup final.
