5 Biggest IPL Fight Among Cricket Players Ever

IPL has a large following; fans have witnessed numerous clashes on the field that were breaking news to the media and made newspaper headlines. Cricket fights between players have become a popular topic of conversation among spectators. On social media, people may use hashtags to argue for their preferred trends and players. There are several cricket highlights that have gained public attention because of the same.

In this article, you will learn about the five most significant cricket player brawls in IPL history, so take a look.

  1. David Warner & Sunrisers Hyderabad (2021)

In 2016, the left consistency at the top of the lineup enabled the squad to win the championship. The Hyderabad fans rushed in hordes every chance he got out to play since they liked having him on the squad. He was removed from his position as captain by Sunrisers after a poor competition debut. The management of SRH voiced displeasure with the team's make-up after they dropped five during their first six matches.

Owing to its unique achievements, Jonny Bairstow, Rashid Khan, and Kane Williamson were highly mobile, and Warner's place in the beginning XI was called into question. When Warner was benched from the starting XI in the match's early stages, Williamson eventually took over as captain. Many followers were incensed by the decision and did not appreciate it.

In the eight matches he performed during the campaign, Warner earned 195 runs, including two innings with 50 runs. Although winning games for the team for several years, Warner was sidelined. Social media went bananas when he was spotted with drinks. When the franchise, as expected, chose not to maintain him following the IPL Mega auctions in 2022, he relocated to the Delhi Capitals.

  1. Suresh Raina & Chennai Super Kings (2020)

Things started in 2020 when Raina withdrew from the tournament because of his issues. There were various allegations that Raina and CSK were at odds, but Raina denied them. Raina returned to the starting squad in 2021, although Moeen Ali had taken his position at third due to the Englishman's stellar performances.

Despite having to play in the middle innings, the 35-year-old never seemed to me to be the game's champion. He only scored 160 hits in 12 games, and an ailment forced him to withdraw from the starting Eleven for the losers bracket. Raina put forward a lot of effort into the team. However, CSK did not retain him as a player after the IPL 2021. Hence Raina was handed the door.

  1. Sourav Ganguly & Kolkata Knight Riders (2009)

Sourav Ganguly was selected to lead the Kolkata Knight Riders, who were coached by John Buchanan, in the debut season. The team finished sixth in the standings yet had plenty of good performers, and Buchanan decided to test the multi-captaincy theory the following season. Buchanan could not explain the multi-captaincy theory during a media briefing given in preparation for season two, and it was evident that he and Ganguly had a breaking out.

The organization ultimately received the slotted spoon as a consequence of the disastrous multi-captaincy decision. The poor result by KKR revealed how disheartened Ganguly was within the team, and the reality that the proprietors had a direct hand in Ganguly's removal as captain only fueled the fire. In the third season, though, Ganguly was reelected as a leader because it seemed that the public adored and backed him enormously.

  1. Chris Gayle & Royal Challengers Bangalore (2017)

Another championship hero, Chris Gayle, has been a crucial member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad ever since his debut in 2011. He destroyed several bowling threats. While playing for RCB, he also established the global benchmark single IPL score of 175 not out, and he indeed enjoyed beginning with Virat Kohli on the other side.

Unfortunately, the team's manager for the 2017 campaign only succeeded in scoring 200 points in nine innings. Even before the 2018 super auctions, Gayle was successful in gaining his form in the CPL and BPL, and he was optimistic about being kept by RCB. Gayle believed the organization was to blame for allowing him to depart, but that was not the situation.

He voiced his concerns as he was departing and roundly condemned the administration for raising his aspirations before the bidding. The Bangalore audience has always liked The Gayle Thunder, so why the Caribbean youngster was disappointed makes sense.

  1. Between Ravindra Jadeja & Chennai Super Kings (2022)

MS Dhoni quit as the leader of CSK before the IPL 2022 campaign, and Ravindra Jadeja was asked to take over. Jadeja was quite spirited on the pitch, even though CSK opened this year's campaign with many defeats. Jadeja's batsmen performances considerably declined, and it seemed that the leadership had a bad effect on his current state of health.

When the administration again offered Dhoni the captaincy at the midway point of the season, CSK was over but out of the running for the playoffs. Jadeja was reportedly dissatisfied with the organization because he missed the group's most important matches due to injuries.
