We have listed five matches instead of 2, as they can't be ignored as well.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Final

The greatest ODI ever played. Ben Stokes was the focal point of it. Nobody knew who would win when the final ball was bowled (in both the normal and Super Over phases).

This game was complete. Action. Drama. Emotional roller coaster. Your choice.

New Zealand scored a total of 241 runs while batting first. By today's ODI standards, it was undoubtedly a modest total, but the number of runs scored in a championship game is a whole other story.

It turned out to be true. England's pursuit fluctuated. Regular wickets, including star players like Jason Roy, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, and Eoin Morgan, could have allowed the match to end prematurely.

But England had a chance as long as Ben Stokes was present. What a great inning he played. He sprinted hard, dived home again, and gave every shot he played everything the player had (with one resulting in four overthrows off his bat). Ben held his ground among the mayhem.

The game entered a Super Over as if the dramatic conclusion weren't enough. In need of 16 points to win, New Zealand hit 15 but was defeated on a boundary count.

Although it was a contentious topic, enough has been said about it. Cricket itself was one of the best sports. This was the best ODI ever played in cricket history, not just the best of the decade.

The Ashes 3rd Test, 2019

At Headingley, England's reply was humiliatingly dismissed for 67 after having Australia for 179 in the first innings.

After Australia scored 246 runs in their second innings, England was given a challenging 359-run win target. England made a strong start but quickly lost four wickets and the match. The Ashes were all but lost at 286/9.

Ben Stokes was still in the goal, much like in the World Cup Final a few weeks before. Therefore, England had a chance. To win by the slimmest of margins, he put pressure on Australia, unsure how to respond. On the other hand, Jack Leach made the finest 1* in history.

Sri Lanka vs South Africa, 1st Test 2019

Their ardent supporters were the only people who thought Sri Lanka could compete when they arrived in South Africa. The Lions had just returned from a two-Test tour of Australia, where they had been so soundly defeated that hardly one in Australia even bothered to raise an eyebrow.

However, Sri Lanka needed 304 runs to win the first Test when they were 206/5. After losing 4/20, their future appeared to be sealed, and this dream threatened to become a nightmare.

However, Sri Lanka reached home because of a masterful performance from Kusal Perera (153*), who may have ever played. He destroyed the best bowlers from South Africa around Kingsmead. With the shaky but capable backing of Vishwa Fernando (6*) at the other end, Sri Lanka managed to win by one wicket.

New Zealand vs South Africa – 2015 WC

The intensity of the emotions and the love for the game in this game will live on. In the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the in-form Kiwi team that South Africa faced had not yet suffered a loss.

Despite the Auckland rain interfering, they scored a respectable total of 281 runs while batting first. The updated goal for New Zealand was 298. The Black Caps frequently lost wickets at crucial moments, but eventually, South Africa wasted some crucial opportunities that will stick with them and their supporters. Fantastic drama, that.

Grant Elliott, a true hero, hit a six off Dale Steyn with two deliveries remaining and five required to win the match for the Kiwis. Ian Smith was over himself in the commentary box, and so was the 50,000-person crowd at Eden Park.

In one of the best ODIs, Elliott finished with 84* and was duly named Player of the Match. However, one particular image that stands out is Elliott picking up a downcast Steyn in a fit of ecstasy.

India vs Bangladesh – 2016 World T20

For India, this game meant life or death. After recording a subpar total of 146 at Bangalore's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, they were in trouble. With 11 needed from the last over, Bangladesh—whom India was predicted to defeat—appeared to present another World Cup 2007-sized challenge.

India appeared to be out as Mushfiqur Rahim hit two fours from his first three balls. But because of his infamously early celebration, Bangladesh needed two runs from the final ball after Hardik Pandya took two wickets in the next two deliveries.

Before Mustafizur grounded his bat, Shuvagata Hom missed, and MS Dhoni sprinted the entire distance to shatter the stumps. India achieved a remarkable victory by one run to advance to the semi-finals.
